Tasting Notes For Beau Vigne Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Beau Vigne was founded in 2002 by Ed Snider. Although they fly under the radar as a small boutique winery, they do so with impressive stature and enjoy their “hidden gem” status. They are world renown and recognized by wine critics as a winery that produces exceptional, intense, balanced, rich and multidimensional wines.
The 2021 vintage will be remembered for low yields with intensely-flavored, small-sized berries and a smooth and uneventful harvest season. The season started off with very little rain, leading to the 2nd year of drought conditions in Napa Valley. The drought of resulted in a more natural load on the vines, requiring less pruning and dropping of fruit. The resulting grapes are packed full of flavor.
An elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine opens with notes of roses and violets, followed by nutmeg, pepper, plum, vanilla, licorice, and blackberry. The long finish imparts chocolate and mocha.
